on Friday, July 5th, 2025!

Join us at the Kearny Playground starting at 7:00 PM for pre-movie fun, featuring live entertainment by the The Raton 3, fronted by Debora Iyall, formerly of the band Romeo Void. The band is based in Raton, New Mexico, and includes drummer Patrick Haight and guitarist Aron Johnson. They play a style described as psychedelic indie pop.

The surprise "Independence Day" movies will begin as soon as it's dark! Be sure to bring your cooler & movie snacks along with your best under-the-stars blankets, pillows, or lounge chairs for ultimate comfort.

El Raton Media Works and City of Raton
Elevates Regional Profile At
New Mexico Film and Media Conference

El Raton Media Works, in partnership with the City of Raton, proudly represented our vibrant region at the New Mexico Film and Media Conference in Albuquerque on Saturday, May 31. It was an incredibly productive day filled with valuable connections, fostering new relationships with like-minded and passionate film and media professionals from across New Mexico. This engagement marks a significant step in showcasing Raton and Colfax County's potential as a premier location for future film and media projects.

Raton Promo Pitch Winners!

This promo combines the visions of Patricia Duran's "Serengeti of the Southwest" and Ken Siggard's "Creator's Paradise." It will utilize existing drone and promo footage, enhanced with voiceover, graphics, and editing.
Projected release: June 2025.

2nd Promo: "It's Wild Here!"
Created by Brad McQueary, this promo will require a full production process, including pre-production, production, and post-production.
Pre-production: July 2025
Production: August 2025
Post-production: September 2025

We're looking for volunteers to join the production teams!

EVENT RECAP: The Woods Premiere

Participants had an excellent time on Sunday, April 27 at the El Raton Theater for Open Screen Night. Films screened include the premiere of Jacob Jaramillo’s Shattered Dreams, and a Short Film Showcase. Local emerging filmmakers had a chance to showcase their short films or works-in-progress on the big screen, and provide Q&As on the production process, and get feedback from a supportive audience—like an open mic night, but for movies! Whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting out, all are welcome at Open Screen Nights. Thanks to everyone for turning out!

EVENT RECAP: Cinco de Mayo Festival

El Raton Media Works was honored to participate in the lively Bubble Hearts & Lil C’s Second Annual Cinco de Mayo Fiesta, where we successfully captured more than 20 compelling local stories. It was a fantastic opportunity to highlight and celebrate the unique experiences and voices within our community.

Videos will be post to our YouTube Page as soon as they are edited!
