STEM Out-of-School Programs:

Cybersecurity,

AI & Robotics

El Raton Media Works offers Raton Intermediate School students

a free after school cybersecurity program, made possible by grants

from NMSU STEM Innovation Network Principal Hub.

ERMW will deliver two OST programs during the 2025–2026 school year.

CyberPatriot (Cybersecurity)

team-based, gamified national competition.

  • Image of classroom with students watching teacher

Starting in September 2025 through May 2026.

One day a week at the Intermediate school for 5th and 6th graders and one day a week at the high school grades 7-12.

Students act as IT professionals defending virtual networks in an engaging,

competitive format. ERMW contextualizes this training with applications to media

and creative industries—protecting digital files, volumetric data, and collaborative

editing platforms. CyberPatriot runs weekly from September through February,

    culminating in national competitions.

Foundations of Technology with Robotics + AI modules

applied robotics with computer vision and AI.

Starting in January through May 2026

One day a week at the Intermediate school for 5th and 6th graders and one day a week at the high school grades 7-12.

High school students will use the Foundations of Engineering, Technology, and

Robotics curriculum, enhanced with robotics builds that connect to real-world

creative applications such as camera rigs, lighting automation, and drones. AI

modules (computer vision, motion tracking) introduce students to emerging

technologies used in modern studios and advanced manufacturing.

Benefits for Participants
